Electronic artist, producer and all round icon Alison Wonderland today releases her new single ‘New Day’ and announces her third studio album Loner will be released on May 6.

A gorgeously lush, downtempo electronica track with a glitchy beat, ‘New Day’ marks a turning point in Wonderland’s life, coming through a period of darkness and learning to love life again. This theme is reflected in the Wild West-style music video, directed by Pete Dons (Halsey, Rüfüs Du Sol, Olivia Rodrigo), which sees a blindfolded Wonderland riding through the desert, foiling villains and bringing beauty to the world through her laser eyes.

Wonderland’s third studio album, Loner will be released May 6, her first since 2018’s Awake. The album was born in the midst of COVID and saw Wonderland revisiting her previous albums for the first time in a long time. “My life was going a certain way before something pulled everything out from under me,” she says. “It left me entirely alone, and it all happened around the same time as COVID. I felt like I had hit my rock bottom. I realised that I have always seen myself as the victim of my story. This time, something shifted in me, and I decided that I didn’t want to be the victim anymore. Instead, whatever I wrote from here would empower me, and help me find strength in this loneliness.”

“For me, Loner felt like a rebirth,” she continues. “I owe it to whoever else is out there who was like me, wishing that they had an album like this to empower them to feel less alone and know that it’s all going to be okay one day.”

In support of the album, Wonderland will be touring America in 2022 before taking her show to the rest of the world in 2023.

Loner is available to pre-order now, with pre-orders of the digital album instantly receiving the first three singles ‘New Day’, ‘Fear of Dying’, ‘FUCK U LOVE U’ and the 2020 hit ‘Bad Things’. Loner is also available for pre-order in CD and LP formats – with a choice of purple, orange and ultra-clear vinyl.

Revitalised and feeling freshly empowered, this new era of Wonderland is set to be her most interesting and satisfying yet. Stay tuned for more.
