Blu DeTiger announces first ever Australian tour for December

Singer and rising bass prodigy Blu DeTiger has announced she will be embarking on her first ever tour of Australia this December with her All I Ever Want Is….tour.
Kicking off on 12 December in Brisbane, she will perform in Sydney and Melbourne as well as performing at the Changing Tides Festival in Kiama, NSW, alongside Hilltop Hoods, Ocean Alley and Lime Cordiale. The tour comes off the back of her debut album All I Ever Want Is Everything which was released in March. Its 14 tracks are an intoxicating mix of guitar-pop funk, 1960s inspired pop, and punk, with featured appearances from Australia’s Mallrat and American synthpop duo Magdalena Bay. It also features the song ‘Hey You’ which was co-written with global superstar Chappell Roan.
First picking up a bass guitar at age 7, soon after she was performing at legendary New York punk venue CBGB through the School Of Rock education programme. As a teenager she continued to perform and DJ at clubs across Manhattan, quickly becoming one of music most exciting young artists.
During the pandemic, her bass covers attracted attention on TikTok where her single ‘Figure It Out’ went viral, with over 41 million streams on Spotify. She has continued to collect accolades, including being named one of Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30 for music, and becoming the first female woman to have a signature bass with esteemed guitar brand Fender - the Limited Player Plus x Blu DeTiger Jazz Bass®
DeTiger is also an advocate for more young people picking up the guitar. "When I was young, I didn't have any archetypes to follow," she says. "Then once I started doing more, I was like, honestly, I'm making my own lane. Now there are young people who are messaging me saying, 'I started playing bass and making music because of you.’ My motivation as an artist is to help the younger generation discover their passion, pick up an instrument, and find an outlet to express themselves.”
A prodigious musical talent and magnetic live performer, DeTiger’s live shows are set to be an end of year treat and should not be missed. Spotify pre-sale tickets are on sale now, with Early Bird tickets released on 3 October, followed by general tickets on sale 4 October.
